Dear brothers and sisters,
My name is Evelyn and I come from Triumph Chinese Evangelical Missionary Church. All along during this pandemic, I have wondered how to reach out to the community and to share God’s love with them.
Praise God, through the Toronto Short Term Mission, my group partner, Becky and I joined a 3 month summer evangelism program. Through weekly training and practice on the phones to do evangelism, we have experienced a very warm and friendly welcome from some of the people that we reached. They even allowed us to follow up with them on the phones.
From this outreach, we have learned that if we show love, caring and patience it would surely work, especially during the period of time when these people were facing spiritual emptiness. Our role was to let them know that the only hope and true happiness can only be found in Jesus alone. We also realized not to lose this chance while they were still at home waiting to go back to work. Thank God for answering our prayers.
